The special characteristic of the non-compacted silica fume    (min. 92% SiO2) produced by our Egyptian Partner EFACO is the light-grey color. Though being a by-product of the production of Ferro-silicon by definition EFACO puts a strong focus on a constant production of silica fume on a high quality level. The importance of a distinct quality management was generated during the long-lasting co-operation with a European market leader for silica fume. The extensive certificates of analysis are generated in-house in the company-owned, fully-equipped laboratory.

EFACO benefits from the strategically favorable location in Edfu, Egypt, directly at the Nile River: Local quartz deposits are nearby, the dam of Aswan with tremendous energy resources is 100km away. With an output of 50.000mt Ferro-silicon and 20.000mt silica fume produced on 4 furnaces EFACO is the biggest producer in this field in the Middle East. EFACO is certified according to ISO 9001:2008 and serves established customers in Europe, Japan and the USA.
